Introduction to Modern Math
Entering into the world of Modern Mathematics can be extremely daunting when done alone and unguided. This is a four-part course designed to initiate the student with an in depth look at two of the most important and impactful texts: "Elements" by Euclid and "Disquitiones Arithmeticae" by Carl Friedrich Gauss. These two texts have changed what mathematics is, as a subject, and demonstrate to the student why mathematics requires such rigorous logical pre-requisites. The second two courses are these logical pre-requisites to any study of Modern Mathematics: Naive Set Theory and First Order Logic & Model Theory. Any student who completes these four courses is ready to begin their journey into Modern Mathematics.
